FAQ
PeakTime Perks is a voluntary demand response program offered by participating Michigan electric cooperatives. It is available to eligible residential and small commercial members of participating cooperatives who enroll a qualifying smart thermostat and agree to the Terms & Conditions.

To qualify for PeakTime Perks, you must meet these program requirements:
- Be a named Member on an active account for electric service of a participating electric cooperative
- The active electric service account must be in good standing
- Reside at the enrolled service address
- Have an eligible model of smart thermostat that is currently connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network
Participation in PeakTime Perks is voluntary, and Members may withdraw at any time, subject to the incentive provisions listed in our Terms and Conditions.

You will receive a $50 incentive from your electric cooperative upon enrollment and a $50 incentive each year on your anniversary in the program.
You will receive a $50 incentive upon enrollment and a $50 incentive* each year on the anniversary of enrollment.
*You must participate in at least 60% events to receive the annual incentive.
Perks (or incentives) are awarded as bill credits by your electric cooperative.
Peak Time Perks will not impact the function of your thermostat. Any issues related to your thermostat should be resolved by contacting the device manufacturer or your preferred HVAC service provider.
By participating in Peak Time Perks, you help reduce electric demand during peak times, lessening the strain on the electric grid. Peak Time Perks is a simple, easy way each of us can come together to create a more reliable and sustainable energy future.
If your new home is located within a participating cooperative territory, you will have the option to re-enroll in the program.
